Hotel Manager

Lava Mountain Lodge is seeking a motivated and hands-on Manager to help oversee daily operations across the lodge, restaurant, guest experience, and staff coordination. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys working with people, and can help keep multiple departments organized and operating efficiently. Located in the scenic Wind River area of Wyoming, Lava Mountain Lodge offers lodging, dining, outdoor adventure access, events, and retreats in a unique mountain setting. This role features complimentary shared lodging, internet, and a shift meal! Position Overview The Manager will assist with overseeing day-to-day operations of the hotel and restaurant while helping coordinate communication between departments including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and events. The role also includes basic administrative and personnel-related responsibilities such as payroll support, onboarding new employees, scheduling coordination, and maintaining operational standards throughout the property. This is a leadership role requiring strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and guest service skills. Responsibilities Oversee daily lodge and restaurant operations Coordinate communication between front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and management Assist with guest relations and help resolve guest concerns professionally Support staff scheduling and operational coverage Assist with payroll preparation, timecard review, and employee record organization Coordinate onboarding and training for new hires Help maintain company policies, operational procedures, and service standards Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience throughout the property Assist with inventory coordination and supply management Support events, retreats, group bookings, and special property activities Work alongside ownership and department leads to improve operations and efficiency Help oversee staff housing coordination and team communication when needed Qualifications Prior hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or property management experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Highly organized with ability to multitask Comfortable working in a hands-on hospitality environment Experience with scheduling, payroll support, or team management is preferred Ability to remain professional and solution-oriented under pressure Basic computer and administrative skills required Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Preferred Experience Hotel or lodge operations Restaurant or food & beverage operations Staff management and onboarding Guest service and conflict resolution Event or retreat coordination Hospitality software/PMS systems experience Schedule & Environment Full-time position Some weekends and holidays required Work in a dynamic mountain lodge environment with a mix of operational and guest-facing responsibilities What We Offer Opportunity to work in a beautiful mountain setting near Dubois, Wyoming Hands-on experience in hospitality, events, and lodge operations Opportunity to help shape and grow the guest experience at Lava Mountain Lodge On site housing provided
