Hotel Room Attendant (Housekeeper)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests. This role requires a strong commitment to cleanliness, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided to the right candidate. The Hotel Housekeeper plays a vital role in upholding the high standards of our hotel and ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies Perform floor care duties such as mopping, sweeping, and carpet cleaning to maintain cleanliness standards Ensure public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces are tidy and well-maintained Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels Report maintenance issues or damages to management promptly Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests Adhere to hotel policies regarding guest privacy and confidentiality Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed Assist with special cleaning projects such as deep cleans or industrial cleaning tasks when required Experience Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, janitorial services, or industrial cleaning is highly desirable Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus Experience in hospitality or housekeeper management roles can be advantageous but is not required Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures related to custodial work is beneficial This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive guest experience through exceptional cleanliness standards.
