Southgate at Shrewsbury, a central Massachusetts' premier retirement community located in historic Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, is seeking an energetic, outgoing professional for the position of Housekeeper. We are located on the bus line and off of route 9. . Responsibilities Cleaning apartments, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other areas. Observing precautions required to protect resident property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisor. Carrying linens, towels, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts Cleaning carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners. Dusting and polishing furniture. Keeping storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy Requirements Ability to follow written and oral instructions Must function independently, have flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with residents, families, employees, and support agencies Ability to communicate effectively in English through verbal and written means
