Housekeeping Associate

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Associate to join our team at the beautiful and historic Beaufort Inn located in downtown Beaufort. In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within our establishment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the hospitality industry.

Duties:

• Clean and tidy guest rooms according to set standards
• Change bed linens and replace towels
• Replenish guest amenities and supplies
• Dust, polish, and arrange furniture
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties as needed
• Ensure all areas are properly sanitized
• Clean public areas
• Wash and dry linens.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department
• Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations

Skills:

• Experience in custodial or housekeeping management is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is advantageous
• Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Understanding of hotel or hospitality industry standards is a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25-30 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
