We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Housekeeping Supervisor to help lead the day-to-day operations of our Environmental Services department. This role is essential in ensuring our facility remains clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming for our residents, families, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and resident satisfaction in a long-term care environment. Position Summary The Housekeeping Supervisor assists in supervising the daily activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and direction from the Director of Environmental Services. This position helps ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable manner while supporting and guiding housekeeping staff. Responsibilities Leadership & Department Oversight Supervise day-to-day housekeeping operations and assigned personnel Assist with scheduling, staffing assignments, and daily cleaning schedules Help establish and maintain housekeeping standards and procedures Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met Coordinate housekeeping services with other departments as needed Assist with performance evaluations, coaching, training, and disciplinary action when necessary Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Training & Staff Support Orient and train new housekeeping staff Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing support and guidance Ensure staff follow infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures Safety & Compliance Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and facility safety policies Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of hazardous chemicals Report hazards, incidents, accidents, and safety concerns promptly Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to universal precautions Housekeeping Duties Assist with housekeeping tasks as needed Ensure resident rooms and common areas remain clean, sanitary, and attractive Monitor housekeeping supply levels and equipment maintenance Coordinate isolation and sanitation procedures when necessary Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous housekeeping experience required, preferably in healthcare or long-term care Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred Knowledge of cleaning methods, floor care, housekeeping equipment, and sanitation practices Ability to lead and motivate a team Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift Ability to lift and move at least 25 pounds Ability to work in environments exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, and infectious materials Why Join Us?
