Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, patient areas, or facility spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Sanitize high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of germs and ensure compliance with health regulations Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, or carpet cleaning procedures Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials to ensure readiness for daily operations Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify cleanliness issues or safety hazards Adhere to environmental services protocols for waste disposal and chemical handling in accordance with sanitation standards Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning or healthcare settings preferred Familiarity with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, and polishing floors Experience working within hospital or healthcare environments is a plus Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a clean and safe environment while developing their skills in environmental services.
