Housekeeping Worker

Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces in assigned areas. Maintain high standards of sanitation by properly handling cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines. Ensure all floors are properly cared for through appropriate floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet cleaning. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other cleaning essentials to ensure continuous availability. Follow established protocols for waste disposal and environmental services to promote a healthy environment. Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify cleanliness issues or safety hazards and address them promptly. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily cleaning schedules and special project requirements. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning environments is highly desirable. Experience working in healthcare settings such as hospitals or clinics is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with strict sanitation standards. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and workplace safety is preferred. Proven ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet extraction enhances your suitability for this role.
