Houseperson

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas of the hotel to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean corridors, guest areas, service areas, and linen closets. Empty trash and dirty linen from housekeeping carts. Dispose of linen through the chute and transport trash to the dumpster. Vacuum corridors, public spaces, and other assigned areas. Sweep and mop all landing areas and tiled surfaces. Clean the exterior of ice machines and vending machines. Inspect public restrooms multiple times daily to ensure cleanliness and proper stocking. Deliver cribs and other requested items to guest rooms. Turn mattresses as directed by management. Stock supplies in linen closets. Assist guests with luggage when needed. Clean guest rooms as assigned. Check interior and exterior lighting for burned-out bulbs and replace as needed. Maintain the cleanliness of outside grounds daily. Inspect the parking lot several times daily for debris and empty exterior trash receptacles as needed. Assist with landscape upkeep as directed. Assist with unloading deliveries and storing items properly. Assist with maintenance and upkeep of the hotel marquee.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift, bend, push, and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent guest service skills. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
