Housing Resource Advocate - Victim Services
QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, public health, or related field. 2. One to three years of experience in case management, information and referral, direct service and/or advocacy preferred. 3. Possess knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence, and sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and elder abuse. 4. Willingness to work with low-income participants struggling to maintain/achieve self-sufficiency. 5. Knowledge of community resources available within area of responsibility. 6. Must be able to travel within service area to, and conduct, home visits, as needed. 7. Must successfully pass agency-required background checks.WAGE RANGE
$23.00/hour plus agency fringe benefits Fringe benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and 11 paid holidays per year.WORK LOCATION
CaroWORK SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, however flexibility is required.APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Attain knowledge about U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Rapid Rehousing program (RRH), Office on Violence Against Women's (OVW) Transitional Supportive Housing Program (TSHP), and National Network to End Domestic and Sexual Violence's best practices for administering housing, for the operation of agency housing programs that serve survivors of domestic/sexual violence. 2. Respond to the immediate housing needs of survivors fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and/or elder abuse. 3. Offer voluntary case management, which includes an individualized housing plan. 4. Provide housing stabilization services that include arranging, coordinating, linking and monitoring the delivery of services that assist participants to obtain and sustain housing stability. 5. Coordinate relocation, emergency shelter, and emergency transfers as necessary.AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
