Job Description

Human Resources Assistant (I-9 Audit Support) We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support a critical I-9 audit and data cleanup initiative . This role will focus heavily on reviewing, organizing, and correcting employee Form I-9 documentation to ensure full compliance with federal regulations. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on I-9 and E-Verify experience who enjoys detailed, project-based work in a collaborative HR environment. Orangeburg, NY $20
  • 27/hour Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM 100% Onsite Contract | 4-6 Months Key Responsibilities Review paper Form I-9s for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal requirements Identify missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation and flag discrepancies Coordinate with HR and compliance teams to correct I-9 issues following proper procedures Organize and maintain I-9 files in accordance with retention and audit standards Track audit progress, corrections, and outstanding items using Excel or internal tools Support data cleanup efforts, including record reconciliation and updates Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information Follow compliance procedures and escalate issues as needed Assist with audit readiness and respond to audit-related requests Ideal Candidate Has hands-on I-9 and E-Verify experience Thrives in detail-heavy, audit-style work Highly organized and able to manage large volumes of documentation Comfortable working onsite and collaborating with HR teams Required Qualifications At least 1 year of Human Resources experience Experience with I-9 verification and E-Verify Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office High level of accuracy in data entry and documentation review Ability to handle confidential information with discretion High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills Previous experience supporting I-9 audits or compliance projects HR administrative experience (filing, documentation management) Experience working in manufacturing or fast-paced environments Strong ability to manage high volumes of paperwork Work Environment 100% onsite role based in Orangeburg, NY Office setting within a manufacturing environment Structured schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM•4:30 PM Temporary assignment (4-6 months) focused on a defined project Why Join?
