Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our organization's HR initiatives and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all facets of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training, safety and compliance, for two locations. This role will partner with executive leadership and senior HR leadership to support organizational initiatives, workforce planning, compliance oversight, benefits strategy and alignment of HR programs and practices while maintaining day-to-day ownership of HR operations within the assigned organizations. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational objectives Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational design Collaborate with senior HR leadership on organizational planning, policy alignment, compliance initiatives, benefits strategy, and broader HR programs Provide HR guidance and recommendations regarding organizational and employee matters Talent Management Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies Lead performance management and succession planning initiatives Recruit Management and administrative support staff Support leadership development and employee growth initiatives Safety Oversee Safety Manager and Safety Programs Oversee Workers Compensation administration Participate in accident investigations and safety meetings Manage legal and employment-related claims through closure Compliance Employee Relations Promote a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment Handle employee relations issues and conflict resolution Partner with leadership to address organizational and workforce challenges Escalate significant employee relations, compliance, or organizational risks as appropriate Compensation & Benefits Evaluate and recommend compensation and benefits programs aligned with organizational goals, market trends, and overall HR strategy Support annual benefits renewal activities, vendor evaluations, and employee benefit communications Administer compensation and benefits programs in alignment with approved company strategies and policies Compliance & Policies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures Support audit readiness, documentation management, and compliance reporting activities Collaborate with senior HR leadership on policy alignment and compliance initiatives Training & Development Implement, lead, and coordinate leadership development and training programs Support continuous learning and employee growth initiatives Payroll/Time & Attendance Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing Audit time and attendance for consistency and accuracy HR Operations Oversee HR systems, data management, and reporting Manage HR budgets and departmental performance Provide regular HR reporting, operational updates, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership Oversee a HR Manager, Safety Manager, and HR Associate Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or 8-12+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site operations preferred HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) a plus Key Skills Strategic thinking and leadership Conflict resolution and negotiation Organizational development Data-driven decision-making Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills Compliance and risk management Strong communication and collaboration skills Will require occasional travel to
