The Human Resources Director (HRD) will be responsible for managing the HR department, IT department (vendor), Fleet, and Safety. The Human Resources Director has two direct reports (Fleet Manager & Safety Director). The HRD supports two locations Houston, TX office and the corporate office in Euless, TX. The Human Resources Director will run weekly in-house payroll for the company and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax reports. The Human Resources Director will also maintain all HR functions within the company including benefits, investigations, onboarding/offboarding, recruiting, policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs. Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including benefits (401K, Medical, Dental, Vision etc.), and leaves. Administer disciplinary actions; disputes and investigations Coach management on performance and disciplinary issues Review performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development. Oversee the administration occupational health and safety and fleet Identify staffing and recruiting needs Develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management. Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from Sage & Arcoro. Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; Review and modify policies and procedures to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; Applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management. Develops and implements departmental budget. Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for employees. Conduct monthly all-employee meetings with updates from the business Manage and perform weekly payroll for all employees. Submit required compliance reporting to state and federal entities. Safety and Fleet Requirements:
Ability to speak English and Spanish (preferred) 8-12 years of progressive Human Resources experiences (primarily with employee relations, compliance & investigations) 5-10 years of conflict manage and handling sensitive information 3-5 years of experience running full cycle payroll Strong understanding of employment and labor laws in Texas Experience with HRIS Arcoro and time management Exak Time or equivalent Experience leading teams aligned with company goals SPHR Certification (highly desired but not required) Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent
