Job Description

Position Summary:
The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day human resources operations. This role is responsible for coordinating onboarding, assisting with benefits administration, and providing general HR support to employees and managers. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and comfortable working in a hands-on, operational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding & Employee Support:
Coordinate new hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and system setup. Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations during the onboarding process. Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable resource for new employees during their first weeks.
Benefits Administration:
Assist employees with day-to-day benefits questions, including enrollment, eligibility, and claims. Support open enrollment activities and help communicate benefit changes. Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve benefit-related issues.
HR Operations:
Maintain accurate employee records. Support timekeeping and attendance tracking, especially for hourly and seasonal staff. Assist with employee relations matters by documenting concerns and escalating as needed.
Workplace Culture & Engagement:
Support employee recognition efforts and engagement activities. Help promote a positive and inclusive work environment across yard and office teams.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in HR. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quickbooks payroll.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with OSHA and labor law compliance Experience supporting hourly and seasonal workforces.
Pay:
$28.85 - $31.25 per hour
