Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is a support to and advocate for employees, a business partner that will demonstrate HR functional excellence by partnering with facility leaders and the HRM in support of the organization strategy, structure, people and processes to achieve the long-range plans of the business while fostering a culture of supporting company mission.

Essential Functions:

Perform active recruitment, selection, and hiring functions for all positions. Represent organization at job fairs, create classified advertising, screen applications/resumes, coordinate applicant testing, conduct interviews, complete relevant background checks, extend job offers and coordinate onboarding. Act as a resource for employees in understanding the expectations and culture at Novae; advise on benefits, organizational policies, employment laws, and advocate for positive relationships and individual growth. Act as a resource for leaders in proactively leading employees. Advise on organizational policies, employment laws, and, when needed, facilitate the corrective action process through counsel, documentation and delivery. Refer situations to human resources management, as appropriate. Support the safety of teams through teaching safe work practices, regularly discussing safety as a priority, investigating accidents, maintaining safety related reports, and participating in corrective action of safety issues as needed. Support the human resources function of the organization through regular participation in projects for continual improvement. Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action. Stay current on job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Experience & Skills:

3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, previous business partner experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of successfully implementing and supporting HR programs and initiatives; change management, org design, org effectiveness and facilitation experience. Project management experience, ability to manage projects, helpful. Strong communication skills with ability to influence and build credibility at all levels. Demonstrated independent and sound decision-making skills; ability to think critically and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety best practices and OSHA regulations. Experience with managing safety programs and implementation of new safety practices. Continuous improvement and customer service mindset; seeking ways to drive efficiencies throughout the organization as well as continue to grow as a professional. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS system-based software required. Strong analytical skills, experienced user in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word required. Able to manage confidential information. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, required. Human Resources Certification (PHR) preferred.
