Human Resources (HR) / Payroll Manager

Hays Nursing and Rehab is looking for a Human Resources/ Payroll Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department and will be hands-on in supporting employees, coordinating processes, and helping create a positive workplace environment. Ideal for candidates with experience in customer service, administration, coordination, or team support roles. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive conversations required. •This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of experience in a people-facing or administrative role who is looking to grow into HR.

Job Duties:

Assist in the recruitment process by collaborating with department managers and sourcing candidates for open positions Recruitment duties including, but not limited to, conducting phone screenings, face to face interviews and panel interviews Manage the onboarding process with new hires, ensuring an incredible experience while having complete and proper documentation Process employee salary administration and assist with time-off requests Know and be able to educate on employee benefits including Medical, Vision, Dental benefits, 401K and additional support plans Approach employee support with empathy, discretion, and practicality Assist with employee development and training as needed Other duties as assigned

Skills:

Strong organizational skills are a must Strong attention to detail is imperative Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Comfortable navigating ambiguity and learning new processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP software (Workday) is a plus.
