Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee engagement. This role partners with leadership to build a productive, compliant, and engaged workforce while supporting business objectives in a fast-paced environment. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including standards set by U.S. Department of Labor and Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Manufacturing or multi-shift environment experience preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, compensation data, and benefits costs.
REASONING ABILITY
Strong judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS/payroll systems required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Primarily office-based with regular presence on the production floor. Requires sitting, walking, standing, and occasional lifting up to 25-30 lbs. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Combination of office and production floor environment. Exposure to noise, temperature changes, and active machinery when on the floor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. 2. Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook. 3. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and resolving concerns professionally and consistently. 4. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, safety standards, and recordkeeping requirements. 5. Administer compensation and benefits programs; analyze and recommend improvements. 6. Manage and process payroll , ensuring accuracy of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. 7. Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including proper classification, timekeeping, and record retention. 8. Coordinate with Finance/Accounting to ensure accurate reporting, and payroll reconciliation. 9. Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee compensation data. 10. Manage performance review processes and support leadership in employee development and corrective actions. 11. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation. 12. Partner with managers to support workforce planning, staffing needs, and organizational development. 13. Coordinate and deliver training programs, including onboarding, safety, and leadership development. 14. Oversee unemployment claims, workers' compensation cases, and related hearings or documentation. 15. Support workplace safety initiatives in collaboration with operations and safety leadership. 16. Manage employee communication efforts, including policy updates and engagement initiatives. 17. Monitor HR and payroll metrics (turnover, attendance, labor costs) and provide recommendations for improvement. 18. Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities and recognition programs. 19. Ensure all job descriptions are accurate and reviewed regularly.
