The VP of Education and Training will provide strategic direction to lead the development of service delivery standards and procedures for educational strategies for each Excel Center location. The position will work with Goodwill Arkansas Education Initiatives School Board, Goodwill Industries of Arkansas Executive Leadership, and the Arkansas Department of Education to ensure school goals, objectives, and desired outcomes are achieved. The VP of Education and Training will also lead the strategic and operational direction of The Academy at Goodwill - Goodwill's licensed trade school. The VP of Education and Training will ensure collaboration across GIA departments to ensure a wholistic, supportive approach is provided to all participants and employees looking to increase their educational attainment, engage in training leading to industry-recognized credentials and certifications, and those looking to engage in the local workforce in a more impactful way. The VP of Education and Training will ensure program fidelity and adherence to the varying accrediting bodies for the programs offered at Goodwill. This position will frequently analyze and predict trends in the local market and develop long-range plans designed to increase enrollment and graduation rates, industry-recognized credentials completed, and career readiness of the student population for both The Excel Center and The Academy. The position will be strongly centered around training and development of staff to ensure all clients and students receive appropriate referral sources, career pathways, and college transition options. This position will support the Senior Vice President and Chief Mission Officer in creating quality training, processes, and outcomes while ensuring alignment of services to promote collaboration across internal and external departments with regard to mission delivery and education services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and execute the annual operating plan for the Goodwill Education Initiatives Arkansas network of schools and The Academy with clear and quantifiable objectives for each program that aligns to state standards. Develop and drive recruitment and retention strategies that lead to maximum impact for the students we serve, their communities, and key stakeholders throughout the state for The Excel Center and The Academy. Develop, implement, and provide oversight for annual budget for The Excel Center and The Academy. Provide leadership in the development of new partnerships and/or methodologies in response to the changing needs concerning student achievement and/or Arkansas State Educational Law, rules, and standards and ensures GAEI's compliance with state laws, regulations, and ADE reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with all agency policies, procedures and safety standards, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards. Develop programs to meet workforce needs of employers and job seekers. Cultivate and collaborate with partners, community-based organizations and businesses and industry to increase enrollment and programming for GTEC. Attend conferences, outreach programs and meetings to promote Goodwill programs. Develops career paths and training objectives for staff as well as evaluation recommendations. Identify, develop/procure, and deliver innovative professional development opportunities for certified and classified employees. Develop and implement professional development policy and procedures to ensure state compliance regarding licensure and teacher/instructor quality. Maintain updated district policies, handbooks, and procedures for continued compliance with ADE, OSD, Department of Labor and GIA standards. Attend and present at GAEI Board Meetings/prepare reports. Assists the Senior Vice President/Chief Mission Officer in high-level planning and decision-making. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review and criminal background check prior to employment, and maintain eligibility under Goodwill Industries of Arkansas' background screening and driving standards throughout employment.
