Job Description

Introduction The\r\nMaryland Military Department is looking for a candidate to fill our Computer\r\nInfo Services Specialist I position. This position will serve as the eMaint\r\nManager for the agency! LOCATION OF POSITION
Fifth\r\nRegiment Armory\r\n29th\r\nDivision St.\r\nBaltimore,\r\nMD 21201\r\n\r\n Main Purpose of Job To evaluate, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the eMaint Computerized\r\nMaintenance Management System (CMMS) and the data integrity across the Maryland\r\nNational Guard Facilities Management Branch (FMB). This position is the primary system\r\nadministrator and data steward for eMaint, ensuring that all work orders (WOs) are\r\naccurately created, categorized, prioritized, tracked, and closed in a timely manner across\r\nall FMB sites and regions statewide.\r\n\r\n\r\nIn addition, this position leads the quarterly eMaint Backlog Assessment process —\r\nanalyzing open WO data by priority, age, trade category, site, and region — and\r\nproduces actionable reports and recommendations that enable FMB leadership to reduce\r\noverdue WOs, mitigate life-safety risks, and shift toward a proactive preventive\r\nmaintenance posture.\r\n
POSITION DUTIES
Duties\r\nfor this position include, but are not limited to the following:\r\n\r\n\r\n� Plan, coordinate, and conduct\r\ntraining programs for microcomputer users and eMaint systems end users.�\r\n� Manage and control inventory\r\nof microcomputer hardware and software.�\r\n� Monitor customer service\r\nrequest�\r\n� Coordinate the maintenance\r\nand modifications of computer system applications.�\r\n\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
�� Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.\r\n\r\n\r\n
Experience:
One year of experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining personal computer hardware and software.�\r\n\r\n\r\n
Notes:
�\r\n\r\n\r\n1.�Candidates may substitute experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers, or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry,�word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, data base or other�applications on a year-for-year basis for the required�education.�\r\n\r\n\r\n2.�Candidates may substitute nine credit hours in personal�computer applications at an accredited college, university or institution for one�year of the required experience.�\r\n\r\n\r\n3.�Candidates may substitute the completion of a certification program in computer repair, such as Microsoft A+ or an � equivalent program for one year of the required experience.�\r\n\r\n\r\n4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and�Information Systems specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the�required experience.\r\n\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Experience\r\nutilizing an eMaint Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or an\r\nequivalent system.\r\n\r\n\r\n2. Experience\r\nmonitoring customer service requests and work orders.\r\n
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which\r\nrequire the operation of a motor vehicle.� Employees assigned such duties\r\nwill be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the\r\nState of Maryland with less than 5 points to operate a state vehicle.\r\n
