Hotel Chief Engineer

As the Chief Engineer at the Hampton Inn Greer, you will lead the Maintenance Team to ensure that the maintenance operations within the hotel are working properly and up to local and brand standards. Specifically, the Chief Engineer will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within the hotel rooms
• Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise
• Ensure that local, state, and federal regulations are being followed and stay current with any Brand compliances
• Execute the preventative maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained to the required standard
• Handle purchasing for the Maintenance Department, using proper purchase order procedures. Check all shipments to be sure they are complete. Ensure that invoices to be approved are returned to the General Manager promptly.
• Coach and counsel employees in the Maintenance Department in a positive fashion to produce improved work performance and knowledge.
• Lead and supervise the energy conservation program
• Maintain pool surfaces and chemical levels.
• Maintain all tools, equipment, and make sure that working areas are in good condition
• Complete any special assignments/projects as assigned by the General Manager and/or Regional Director of Operations A Chief Engineer at the Hampton Inn Greer is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
• Current working knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work
• Experience in the Maintenance Department of a hotel, hospital, apartment complex or similar environment
• Strong work ethic
• Organized and punctual
• Previous Hilton experience is a plus
• A passion for delivering great customer service
• Ability to meet deadlines within established time frames
• Knowledge of maintenance tracking software/programs
• Excellent painting skills and attention to details
• CPO certified is a plus

Pay:

From $42,000.00 per year
