JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Corporate Vice President to lead our organization's HR initiatives at the executive level. This role is pivotal in shaping our human capital strategy, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing large HR teams, driving talent acquisition and development, and implementing innovative HR programs that support organizational growth and employee engagement. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will influence company policies, oversee HR systems, and champion initiatives that enhance workforce performance and organizational effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Business Operations & Strategy
  • Implement Human Resource strategies by establishing operational accountabilities, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations, and employee retention.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires and trains HR Staff across all properties including management levels, as assigned.
  • Train, manage and oversee employee performance evaluation processes, conflict resolution, employee misconduct investigations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations to promote a fair and compliant workplace environment.
  • Manage and maintain business partnerships to include 3rd Party Payroll processor; execute sub/affiliate agreements for new properties as/where needed. Multi-State Compliance & Risk Management
  • Create and manage HR documents such as job descriptions, handbooks, and employee files for corporate and property locations.
  • Develop and administer Human Resource standards and procedures (SOP's) for corporate and properties. Routinely update to ensure compliance and relevance.
  • Conduct Routine on-site compliance evaluations across regional properties to address HR audits, employee relations, culture adherence and employee surveys.
  • Ensure training in respect to risk management protocols and oversee adherence to OSHA Standards, Workers' Compensation policies, reviewing property audits and renewals as needed.
  • Ensure training adherence and oversight to Multi-State and Federal HR employment & labor laws, FMLA regulations, EEO guidelines, and HR legal compliance across all operations.
Strategic Talent Acquisition & Labor Mobility:
  • Oversee talent acquisition efforts by implementing sourcing strategies, managing applicant tracking systems (ATS), and ensuring effective onboarding processes; recruiting, posting jobs, resourcing job sites, screening and interviewing candidates.
  • Communicate and collaborate with senior management to enforce organizational values and forecast and plan for future workforce needs at the corporate level.
  • Manage HR protocols for new property acquisitions/takeovers to include recruiting, wage survey, job fairs, orientations, new hire paperwork, and background checks as/where required.
  • Manage centralized remote onboarding systems that deliver consistent, engaging training experiences regardless of candidate work location.
Payroll & Benefits:
  • Administer and oversee corporate and property payroll protocols to include compliance with interval processing, garnishments, and benefit deductions.
  • Oversee and manage Benefit Administration to include open enrollment, policy renewals/enhancements, new hire enrollment, monthly benefit changes, and scheduled audits.
  • Design equitable compensation models to adjust to local cost-of-living vs state minimum wage laws.
  • Engage with corporate executives as needed with Benefit modernization and evaluate trends and cost saving enhancements on current plans, products and licenses.
  • Manage the legal participation for HR related matters for all ARM affiliates.
  • On-call HR support for property teams.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive experience in human resources management with a focus on senior leadership roles within large organizations. Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, employment law in talent management, HR sourcing, organization design, performance management, benefits administration, and HR systems in Place. Proven ability to supervise diverse HR teams while managing multiple projects such as training & development programs or compliance initiatives. Strong skills in conflict management, employee relations management, strategic planning, and program management. Deep understanding of regulatory compliance management including OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, Workers' Compensation policies, and EEO guidelines. Proficiency in data collection & analysis techniques, ability to work Microsoft Office suite or related software.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field; advanced certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience required. Authoritative knowledge of multi-state labor laws, FLSA classifications and internal seasonal visa programs(e.g., J-1, H-2B) Significant experience within the hospitality, resort, hotel management, or leisure/travel industry required; multi-property or portfolio-level experience strongly preferred. Track record of successfully leading teams through growth.
WORK ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY & EMERGENCY AWARENESS
Primarily office-based, with remote options as allowed by corporate policy with some travel required (25%; domestic; occasional weekend/holiday travel may be required given the seasonal and 24/7 nature of hospitality operations).
  • Some flexibility required to accommodate meetings and property-level events outside standard business hours.
Must follow all procedures and immediately report any incidents or injuries to the Director of Risk and Insurance; while on property site visits, incidents or injuries must also be reported to property manager(s) on duty.
