Job Overview The Senior Manager, HR Shared Services is responsible for leading the delivery of centralized HR operations that support employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This role oversees key HR operations functions including employee lifecycle administration (onboarding through offboarding), HRIS data integrity, HR compliance, and process optimization. Working closely with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, IT, Finance, and Legal, this leader drives operational excellence, standardization, and scalable HR solutions that support business growth. Key Job Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing HR Shared Services team. Oversee employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, leave administration, and employment verifications. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant HR transactions while delivering an outstanding employee experience. Establish, monitor, and improve service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze operational metrics to identify trends and drive continuous process improvements. Partner with HRIS to optimize systems, improve data integrity, and expand employee self-service capabilities. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, process documentation, and audit controls. Administer leave of absence programs, including
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, and disability programs. Manage annual benefits open enrollment, vendor coordination, employee communications, and regulatory compliance. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee benefits inquiries. Lead or support cross-functional HR initiatives, including technology implementations, process redesign, organizational changes, and M&A integration activities. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years leading an HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or HR team. Experience building or managing centralized HR service delivery functions. Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and U.S. employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and related regulations. Experience working with HRIS platforms and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and service delivery. Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel domestically up to 10%. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
certification preferred. Experience in a global manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Experience with HR service management platforms (such as ServiceNow HR Service Delivery or Salesforce) preferred. Experience supporting HR technology implementations, process automation, or M&A integration preferred.
