We're partnering with a well-established Alaska-based trust organization that manages health, pension, and welfare benefits for members across the state. This organization is known for its accuracy, integrity, and commitment to providing exceptional service to Alaska's workforce.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Pension Representative, you'll serve as a key point of contact for retirees, active employees, and employers regarding pension and retirement benefits. This is a highly customer-focused role with a heavy emphasis on phone and in-person interaction. You'll assist individuals with benefit questions, guide them through retirement processes, and ensure accurate handling of sensitive information in a fast-paced environment. Answer high-volume calls and respond to inquiries related to pension and retirement benefits Assist retirees and employees with benefit options, eligibility, and retirement processes Calculate and process retirement benefits and monthly payments Maintain accurate participant records and documentation Research and resolve discrepancies, adjustments, and benefit-related issues Provide support for beneficiary updates, eligibility questions, and general inquiries Assist with administrative tasks including file maintenance and document processing Work cross-functionally with internal departments as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Strong customer service experience, ideally in a high-volume environment High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to remain calm and professional when working with upset or frustrated individuals Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple priorities Team-oriented with the ability to also work independently
