The Senior Analyst - Advisor Compensation plays a critical role in the design, administration, and continuous improvement of variable compensation programs supporting revenue-producing roles. This position owns the accuracy, execution, and communication of incentive compensation processes while partnering closely with leadership, advisors, Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and Technology. This role is well suited for an experienced analyst who enjoys working with complex data, translating calculations into clear business explanations, and improving compensation processes in a fast-growing environment. Prior experience in variable, incentive, or sales compensation is ideal; however, candidates with strong analytical or financial backgrounds and transferable experience are encouraged to apply. Advisor Compensation Responsibilities:
Compensation Program Ownership Serve as a trusted and professional resource for all matters related to variable and incentive compensation. Administer quarterly variable compensation processes, including validation, adjustment handling, and reconciliation. Ensure accuracy, transparency, and consistency in compensation outcomes. Support compensation plan changes driven by leadership, including transitions related to onboarding, retirements, or role changes. Stakeholder Communication & Education Translate compensation calculations and processes into clear, understandable explanations for advisor and business stakeholders. Develop and deliver educational materials and process documentation related to variable compensation plans. Present high-level overviews of compensation processes during integration phases and ongoing education sessions. Partner with leadership to reinforce expectations, timelines, and governance around compensation cycles. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Human Resources and Integration teams to implement compensation plans for new hires and acquired advisors. Work closely with Finance, Billing, Operations, and Technology teams to reconcile data, resolve discrepancies, and improve controls. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and data/technology partners to enhance compensation infrastructure. Infrastructure, Data, and Process Improvement Maintain and enhance variable compensation models, tools, and supporting documentation. Analyze trends, risks, and recurring issues within compensation outcomes to recommend process improvements. Support revenue-based contingent growth calculations, deferred earn-outs, and related reporting. Participate in special projects involving compensation, analytics, or system improvements. Team Support & Continuity Cross-train on all aspects of variable compensation to provide coverage and process continuity. Document procedures and workflows to enable scalability and redundancy.Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Incentive or sales compensation Variable pay or commission administration Payroll analytics Revenue operations Finance, FP&A, or compensation analytics Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, lookups, pivots, and data validation. Experience working with complex datasets where accuracy, controls, and auditability are critical. Proven ability to explain technical or quantitative concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.Preferred:
Experience calculating variable compensation or sales commission is strongly preferred. Background in financial services, wealth management, or advisor compensation models. Familiarity with fee-based billing, compensation adjustments, or reconciliation workflows. Exposure to integration or acquisition-related compensation processes. Experience partnering with data, systems, or technology teams to improve compensation tools. Key Attributes forSuccess:
