Job Summary A healthcare services organization in Pasadena, CA is seeking an experienced Benefits Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a benefits professional who enjoys supporting employees, maintaining accurate benefit records, and helping ensure benefit and retirement programs are administered effectively. The Benefits Coordinator will work under general supervision while serving as a trusted resource for employees regarding eligibility, coverage, claims procedures, and related benefits questions. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a mission-driven healthcare environment with collaborative HR support, steady workflow, and meaningful interaction with employees across the organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits and retirement programs in accordance with plan guidelines and organizational procedures.
  • Consult with and advise employees on benefit eligibility, insurance coverage, hospitalization benefits, claims procedures, and related questions.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and prepare documentation required to implement or update benefits coverage.
  • Assist with benefits audits, data review, and analysis to support compliance, accuracy, and plan equity.
  • Support ongoing review of benefit policies, plan trends, legislated requirements, and program updates.
  • Partner with HR team members to provide responsive, professional service to employees and internal stakeholders. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay range: $35.00 to $39.00 per hour.

    May require flexibility of hours. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Administer employee benefits and retirement programs.
  • Advise employees on benefit eligibility, coverage, claims, and related procedures.
  • Maintain benefits records and prepare documents for coverage implementation.
  • Assist with benefit audits, analysis, policy support, and compliance-related updates.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency required.
  • 5+ years of benefits-related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent required.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential employee information with professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain benefits information clearly to employees.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • General Human Resources experience is a plus. Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college preferred.
  • Current Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred.
  • Kronos HRIS knowledge or experience preferred.
  • Prior benefits experience in a healthcare services environment is a plus.
