Pension Analyst

Description Robert Half is looking for a Pension Analyst to support pension operations and member service activities in Pleasanton, California. This is a Contract position focused on researching pension-related inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with administrative processes that help the team respond effectively to member needs. The role is primarily operational and analytical, with occasional direct interaction with members, and is well suited to someone who is comfortable working with data, numbers, and service-driven communication.

Pension Analyst Responsibilities:

• Investigate pension-related questions by reviewing records, validating information, and providing accurate findings to internal team members.
• Enter, update, and maintain pension data with a high level of accuracy to support ongoing administrative and service activities.
• Monitor shared mailboxes, organize incoming requests, and respond or route inquiries in a timely and thorough manner.
• Partner with pension team staff and member services personnel to help resolve issues and support daily workflow needs.
• Prepare and review spreadsheets, reports, and supporting documentation to assist with tracking, analysis, and case follow-up.
• Provide courteous assistance during occasional in-person interactions with members while ensuring questions are addressed clearly and appropriately.

• Experience in pension administration, pension operations, or a related analytical support role.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with spreadsheets for tracking, review, and analysis.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling data entry, records, and pension-related information.
• Comfort working with numbers and interpreting data in an administrative or analytical environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and willingness to complete skills testing in Word and Excel as part of the hiring process.
• Bilingual Spanish language skills are preferred and would be considered a strong asset.
