Job Description
The SVP, Card Member Benefits Analytics will lead the strategy to enhance our card member benefits portfolio through two core functions:
Optimizing Engagement:
Driving the marketing and targeting for existing benefits, including premier partnerships in Travel, Entertainment and Dining, and our suite of Travel and purchase (extended warranty) protection benefits.Driving Growth:
Analyzing the economics of the benefits programs and developing business cases for new investments and strategic partnerships. Success in this role requires building strategies based on analytically derived insights, robust financial modeling and impact forecasting. SVP will collaborate extensively with functional teams—including Card Product, Marketing, Risk, and Technology—and external partners to evaluate, assess, develop, and launch initiatives that boost benefit utilization, and profitability.Responsibilities:
Strategy & Analytics Develop data-driven business cases for new benefits-related investments, enhancements, and strategic partnerships. Conduct in-depth economic analysis of the customer benefits portfolio to assess profitability, measure ROI, and identify opportunities for optimization. Create omni-channel marketing and targeting strategies to drive engagement and utilization of Card Member benefits, across Entertainment, Dining, Travel and Purchase (Extended Warranty) Protections. Develop and articulate the analytical framework to solve complex business challenges related to benefits engagement and ROI. Make data-driven recommendations using statistical and non-statistical tools to develop targeting strategies for benefit-related communications and offers. Create an optimization framework to maximize the ROI for the benefits portfolio and associated marketing budget. Leadership & Collaboration Lead and develop a team of professionals, fostering a culture of sound analytical approaches to solve business problems. Collaborate with functional teams from Card Product, Marketing, Risk, Technology, and key external partners. Exercise cross-functional leadership (communication and influencing) to drive towards common goals. Leverage industry best practices and navigate internal relationships to become the key point of contact for analytics delivery and adoption in the benefits space. Governance & Quality Control Ensure robust quality control in all analytical processes. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and managing control issues with transparency.Qualifications:
10+ years of experience Experience in Credit cards, financial services Ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems Excellent analytical, technical and/or statistical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data information Market research experience a plusEducation:
