JUSHF), we are shaping the future of the cannabis industry, the fastest growing jobs sector in the U.S. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering and managing various employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and providing excellent support to employees. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate Leave of Absence records (FMLA management, ADA Accommodation, STD and LTD leaves, Personal Leaves, Union Leaves, and parental leaves), processing claims, and fostering an understanding of employee benefits.WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Administer and support employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, COBRA.
- Assit with planning annual Open Enrollment activities.
- Monitor enrollment activity and eligibility requirements, ensuring timely processing of new hires, life events, status changes, and benefits terminations.
- Audit benefit enrollments, carrier files, eligibility reports, payroll deductions, and vendor integrations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Track, investigate, and resolve enrollment, billing, and carrier discrepancies.
- Support ACA tracking, reporting, and other benefits compliance initiatives.
- Assist with benefits-related audits, testing, regulatory filings, and compliance reviews.
- Administer and coordinate leave of absence processes, including
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, STD, LTD, parental, personal, and union-related leaves.- Process leave requests, distribute required documentation, track leave activity, and maintain accurate leave records within HRIS and leave management systems.
- Coordinate leave-related benefits administration, including benefit continuation, premium collection, return-to-work processes, and employee and manager communications.
- Complete employer documentation required for disability and leave-related claims.
- Maintain accurate employee benefits and leave records in accordance with company policies and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Prepare recurring reports, metrics, dashboards, and reconciliations related to benefits administration, leave management, payroll deductions, and employee participation.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to ensure efficient administration of benefit programs.
- Educate employees on available benefit offerings, eligibility requirements, and enrollment processes while providing exceptional customer service through the Benefits inbox.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
