Role Purpose
This is a temporary, hands on interim role providing continuity, expertise, and execution support across US compensation activities while a permanent incumbent is sourced and appointed.
The role combines:
1. Delivery of a small number of well defined compensation projects, and 2. Pragmatic, advisory support to the local Reward & HR Operations team The focus is on execution, continuity, and selected projects, and supporting operational delivery. ________________________________________ Key Focus Areas 1. Targeted Compensation Projects (Primary Near Term Focus) The interim lead will provide hands on support across a limited number of clearly scoped projects, including: 1. Long Term Incentive (LTI) benchmarking and positioning review 1. Progress existing LTI benchmarking work using established external survey data 2. Assess competitiveness and positioning versus peer groups 3. Develop clear insights and recommendations aligned to governance and cost parameters 1. Compensation benchmarking linked to a critical Business Development topic 1. Deliver focused market benchmarking and pay analysis to support a time sensitive Client initiative 2. Advise on pay positioning, deal related roles, and risk trade offs 3. Support leadership decision making with concise, data driven outputs 1. Bionexus initiative - US manufacturing site 1. Provide targeted compensation and benchmarking support for a new US manufacturing site 2.Support early hiring activity through:
1. Market pricing of new roles 2. Pay structure guidance 3. Competitive positioning for critical early hires 1. Ensure alignment with broader US compensation frameworks while allowing for site specific considerations 2. Ongoing Advisory Support to the Local Reward Team In parallel, the role will provide ongoing advisory support, particularly in relation to: 1. Market data interpretation 1. Support analysis and interpretation of survey data 2. Help translate external market signals into practical pay guidance 1. Pay positioning questions 1. Advise HR Ops Liasions, as needed, on internal equity, market alignment, and compa ratio considerations for new hires and internal moves/promotions 2. Support consistency of decision making across the US population, in line with policies and practices 1. Ad hoc compensation decision support 1. Job leveling and evaluation guidance 2. Advice on complex or non standard offers 3. Support for off cycle adjustments or sensitive cases 1. Benefits (advisory only) 1. Provide high level input or perspective on benefits related considerations where they intersect with total reward positioning 3. Framework Stewardship & Selective Redesign 1. Maintain existing US compensation frameworks, structures, and governance 2. Identify and progress targeted improvements where required to support the above projects 3. Ensure any redesign activity remains incremental, practical, and well documented for handover Explicitly Out of Scope 1. Payroll, compensation administration, or processing 2. Benefits administration or vendor management 3. HRIS ownership or configuration 4. Large scale reward transformation programs Profile & Experience 1. Deep experience in US compensation, ideally in complex or evolving environments 2. Strong capability in benchmarking, LTI design support, and market analysis 3. Comfortable operating in interim / backfill roles with a bias for action 4. Credible advisor to Reward, HR, Finance, and business leaders 5. Pragmatic, structured, and focused on high impact outcomes 6. Biopharma industry and role knowledge preferred Success Measures 1. Timely progress and delivery of defined compensation projects 2. High quality, risk aware compensation advice 3. Continuity and stability during the transition period 4. Clear documentation and clean handover to the permanent role holderEEO:
