Full Job Description Position Summary:

Responsible for coordinating patient benefits including generating referrals, conducting pre-certifications, checking patient eligibility of multiple practices.

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred Minimum of two years experience generating referrals. Experience in similar specialty setting preferred Previous experience pre-certifying insurance benefits Previous experience checking patient insurance eligibility Minimum of two years previous coding experience Thorough knowledge managed care plan requirements and limitations Previous experience with practice management/medical billing computer programs required Computer registration and EMR experience preferred Previous Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel) experience referred Excellent oral/written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Detailed oriented Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and apply appropriate policies and procedures Flexible, able to adapt to change
