This role assists with compensation processes, benefit administration, wellness initiatives, and compliance activities to ensure programs are effectively delivered, compliant, and clearly communicated to employees and HR stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Compensation Administration Support day-to-day compensation processes for hourly and salaried employees. Assist with annual performance reviews, merit increases, bonuses, and other compensation programs. Maintain and update job descriptions for all hourly and salaried positions. Assist with job evaluations for new or updated positions. Rewards and Wellness Programs Coordinate and administer employee programs such as education assistance and professional development. Support wellness initiatives across Canadian facilities to manage health insurance costs. Assist with employee and site HR education regarding wellness initiatives, challenges, and programs. Maintain and support wellness platform communications and updates. Benefits Administration Serve as the first point of contact for benefits inquiries for Canadian employees. Communicate benefits program details to employees and HR teams. Assist with benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and new hire onboarding. Support annual benefits audits, compliance testing, and invoice reconciliation. Prepare benefit communication materials and information packages. Assist with claims processing and vendor invoice submissions. Compliance and HR SupportEnsure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to compensation, benefits, and pensions. Gather and audit data from HRIS and other sources to identify discrepancies and support corrections. Assist with municipal, provincial, and federal compliance activities for Canadian programs. Support broader HR operations related to talent, development, and training as required.
Qualifications Education Minimum Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Preferred:
Concentration in Human Resources and/or Finance. CHRP/CHRL or equivalent designation.
Experience Minimum Required:
4 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on benefits administration, compensation, or talent.
Preferred:
5+ years of total rewards experience in a multi-location organization.
Job Specific Skills Minimum Required:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of provincial and federal benefits, pension, and employment legislation. Experience with HRIS systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to clearly explain benefits and compensation programs to employees and leaders. Fluent in English.
Preferred:
Strong analytical skills for evaluating and improving rewards programs. Ability to stay current on total rewards trends and best practices. Sound decision-making and critical thinking skills. Knowledge across multiple HR disciplines. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities. Working Conditions The following work conditions are present or expected on a daily basis: Manufacturing and production floor environment. Approximately 50% of work time spent on the production floor. Exposure to industrial equipment, vehicles, weather elements, chemicals, and robotics. Personal protective equipment required when on the production floor.
