Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Defined Benefit Pension Administrator with strong technical expertise in ASC software, plan valuations, and nondiscrimination testing to support a growing client base of small-to-mid-sized retirement plans. This is a high-impact, client-facing role working closely with actuaries and plan sponsors on funding strategy, compliance, and plan design. Key Responsibilities Plan Valuations & Administration Prepare and review annual Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plan valuations using ASC Reconcile census data, assets, and plan provisions Calculate funding requirements, actuarial liabilities, and contribution ranges Support takeover plans and data conversions Compliance & Testing Perform nondiscrimination testing including: 401(a)(4) 410(b) Top-heavy testing DB/DC cross-testing Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations Prepare and review plan documents, amendments, and restatements Government Filings Prepare and/or review: Form 5500 & Schedule SB PBGC premium filings Annual Funding Notices Form 8955-SSA Client Consulting Communicate directly with plan sponsors regarding: Funding strategies Plan design options Contribution scenarios Present valuation results clearly and professionally Partner with enrolled actuaries on complex cases Required Qualifications 5+ years of Defined Benefit (DB) pension administration experience Hands-on experience with ASC software (required) Strong experience with: DB valuations Cash balance plans Nondiscrimination / cross-testing Experience preparing Form 5500, Schedule SB, and PBGC filings Solid understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations Client-facing communication experience Preferred Experience with DB/DC combo plans Exposure to plan design, conversions, or terminations Progress toward actuarial exams (a plus, not required) Why Join VFG Advisory LLC?:

Full-Service CPA & Advisory Firm Pay:

$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
