Key Responsibilities Process multi-state payroll using Paychex Flex Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information Calculate overtime, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and manual checks Manage employee onboarding, including I-9 and W-4 documentation Maintain employee wage, time, payroll, and benefits records Respond to employee and supervisor payroll questions Prepare weekly and monthly payroll and commission reports Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and other employee benefits Process benefit enrollments, changes, cancellations, deductions, and claims Review insurance invoices, union dues, and payroll-related adjustments Provide wage verifications with proper authorization Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll laws, union requirements, and benefit regulations Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 5 years of payroll and benefits experience Paychex Flex experience required Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes and compliance Knowledge of union payroll regulations preferred Strong understanding of payroll practices and employee benefits Proficient in Microsoft Office Highly organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and confidential Strong written and verbal communication skills High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
