GED Driver's License Problem-solving Full Job Description Shipping, Receiving & QC Specialist Summary:
The Shipping, Receiving & QC Specialist is responsible for managing the daily flow of parts, including unloading/loading shipments, inspecting, packaging, auditing, and fulfilling orders. This position involves close collaboration with the Distribution team to ensure parts are shipped and received in a timely manner. Responsibilities also include driving 26-foot trucks between company locations while following all driving requirements and completing required vehicle inspections. This role requires the ability to quality check parts and meet established quality standards, maintain a strong understanding of part condition and appearance before shipment to customers, understand and assist with the returns process, and support warehouse operations as needed. We offer continuous training to ensure employees are equipped with the latest tools and skills for success.

Monday through Friday 8:30am-6pm

Starting salary: $22 per hour

Pay Employee Assistance Program Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities Load and unload inbound, outbound, and transfer shipments while verifying part condition and accuracy. Locate, pull, inspect, audit, package, and fulfill customer orders according to work orders, sales invoices, and order specifications. Drive 26-foot box trucks between company locations, assisting with the loading and unloading of merchandise, conducting complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, properly securing loads to prevent damage during transit, adhering to all DOT, DMV, and company safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles, completing required paperwork accurately and on time, and ensuring the safe and timely transport of parts, inventory, and supplies. Perform quality control inspections using established grading standards and damage locators to ensure parts meet customer and company expectations. Maintain a strong understanding of automotive part identification, condition, fitment, warehouse locations, and the Hollander parts numbering system. Prepare parts for storage and shipment using proper bagging, wrapping, tagging, and packaging methods to prevent damage during transit. Organize, store, and manage inventory efficiently, ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, accurately documented, and easily accessible. Assist with putting away inventory, supplies, and merchandise in designated locations while maintaining organization and inventory accuracy. Assist with the returns process by inspecting returned parts, verifying condition, and ensuring accurate documentation and processing. Use handheld devices and inventory management software to audit inventory, update records, communicate discrepancies, and resolve order issues. Conduct regular audits of inventory, outgoing deliveries, and shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper transit status. Inspect and monitor fire extinguishers throughout the facility, including vans, crushers, loaders, gas punch stations, telehandlers, and other designated areas, reporting any deficiencies as needed. Assist with loading delivery trucks and internal transfer trucks to support daily distribution operations. Collaborate with Production, Distribution, Sales, and Management teams to address quality concerns, improve processes, and ensure timely shipment and receipt of parts. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse, distribution, and quality control operations.

Tools and Equipment:
We provide the tools necessary to complete the job such as tablets/scanners for part processing, company email, personal accounts for management systems, procedure documents, proper PPE, etc.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license. Forklift certification. Training and certification available.
