Summary:
Reviews, coordinates, analyzes, and processes benefits' events; troubleshoots, and resolves problems using HRIS systems. Administers, promotes, and evaluates Summa's comprehensive benefits program. Assists in ensuring compliance with policies and provisions of insurance plans. Serves as back-up to senior team.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.
Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field of study or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 2.
Experience & Training Required:
a. Three (3) years of experience working with HRIS software systems, employee benefits, insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability), or Human Resources experience, which has provided the opportunity to utilize a variety of software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office suite with Excel, and PowerPoint); and experience utilizing HRIS systems. 3.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines. b. Knowledge of benefit laws such as Section 125, ERISA, EEO Regulations, FMLA, COBRA, ACA etc. c. Strong attention to detail. d. Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills e. Ability to maintain working relationships with all levels of employees, state agencies and external vendors. f. Always maintains confidentiality. g. Ability to perform in a team environment. 5.
