Job Description:
OneSparQ is looking for a Sr. Benefits Specialist for a large financial services company located in Cleveland, OH.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in benefits administration Strong understanding of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability plans Experience supporting benefits enrollment, life event changes, terminations, and employee benefits questions Experience working within HRIS or benefits administration systems
Bachelor's Degree Additional Skills:
Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field Experience in financial services, mortgage, banking, or another highly regulated corporate environment Familiarity with open enrollment support and benefits compliance processes
Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, responding to inquiries related to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans Manage the benefits team inbox and provide timely, accurate, and professional support to employees Support day-to-day benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, coverage changes, and terminations Maintain accurate benefits data in HRIS and benefits systems, ensuring updates are completed correctly and on time Conduct new hire benefits orientations and help employees understand plan options, enrollment steps, deadlines, and available resources Perform monthly benefits invoice reconciliation, reviewing carrier invoices for accuracy and partnering with payroll, vendors, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies Coordinate with benefits vendors and carriers to troubleshoot employee issues, resolve coverage questions, and escalate complex matters when needed Support ongoing benefits process improvements to enhance employee experience, data accuracy, and operational efficiency Assist with open enrollment, employee communications, reporting, and other benefits-related projects as needed
