Job Description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Compensation Advisor to join our Area of Compensation team located at the Carl Albert Service Center working .
Summary:
An advanced compensation role displaying a full understanding of and ability to apply compensation concept and theory to any project. Uses advanced critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills as well as strong business acumen. Knows and applies both general business and compensation best practices and is able to advise customers with professionalism and accuracy. Often leads cost impact projects and is involved in many high-level projects involving strategic planning and design of policy, procedures and guidance.
Responsibilities:
Review requests for new or revised job classifications Provide compensation guidance and support to business units Develop analytical models for a variety of projects ranging from small departments to the entire organization Assist with the design and development of new compensation programs and modifications to existing programs Review, audit and maintenance of compensation resource tools Partner with managers to assess and recommend compensation adjustments to support the need of the business unit Analyze data from relevant compensation surveys Utilize existing systems and databases to record and report on total compensation Coordinate updates and maintenance of compensation related data within HRIS;including the creation of new titles, reporting structure, and maintenance of active titles Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner Greets and engages with a smile Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment Maintains and promotes professionalism Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Reviews job evaluation requests, validates materials received and gathers additional data needed for the job evaluation, evaluates (determining points, grade, structure, exemption status) and completes market pricing of non-manager roles with limited oversight and evaluates manager roles with general oversight based on sensitivity of role being evaluated Assists with the design and development of new compensation programs and modifications to existing programs May guide and assist internal customers in developing job descriptions for their areas Participates/conducts in annual compensation salary surveys Prepares ad hoc reports Studies current internal and external wage and salary data to build recommendations for compensation customers Attends all meetings, trainings and workshops as directed Performs research and conducts presentations as required Communicates error findings with HR and lower-level management according to compensation guidelines and refers errors on higher level positions and exceptions to compensation management Applies complex and integrated total rewards principles and labor market data, including all base and variable pay management tools as well as adherence to all Chickasaw Nation policies, procedures, executive orders and Code to support the Chickasaw Nation mission, vision and culture Assists in special compensation projects by conducting research, performing analysis, and preparing simple to complex level reports Interacts with a variety of business partners in HR and assigned customers in all organizational areas - usually at or below the director level - providing compensation reviews, procedural guidance and problem resolution Uses Chickasaw Nation base pay policies and compensation guidelines and procedures to accomplish tasks and provide answers to customer inquiries. Seeks guidance for complex or sensitive issues May perform the work of higher level staff on an intermittent or ongoing basis as a means of development or to meet division needs. May also perform the work of lower level compensation staff as needed Monitors and processes employee and job related workflows or gives guidance to lower level compensation staff; completes or monitors the entry of data to the master file database or HRIS system. Ensures adherence to all compensation guidelines, procedures, documentation and master data file requirements, Kronos and job repository procedural steps. Will develop compensation communications, presentations and trainings. Performs all other duties as assigned
