Summary As a Benefits Coordinator this role would require that the right candidate would be responsible for calling on all insurance changes, new patient benefits and updated benefits for the year. Monitors and directs incoming faxes. Accurately scans and uploads documentation to charts. This position will also require assisting the front desk with patient overflow as needed, break and lunch coverage or end of day. Responsibilities Make outgoing calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient inquiries and concerns. Knowledge of medical software. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times. Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support office operations. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication. Provide information about services offered and assist patients with any necessary forms or documentation. Handle patient follow-ups as required to enhance overall satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office or hospital setting, preferably as a benefits coordinator or front desk assistant. Strong medical benefits skills with familiarity in relevant software applications. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in medical office management is a plus but not required. Knowledge of Epic or similar electronic health record systems is beneficial.
