JOB SUMMARY
This position is a part of a team that provides support to our sales and retention reps in the form of data gathering, data entry and analysis, proposal and financial exhibit development, and coordinates with internal and external customers to install and renew employer group benefits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor email and respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs): Gather benefit information from a variety of sources, coordinates response, inputs data and maintains all appropriate documentation. Utilizing a proposal template, inputs data to prepare proposals for benefit plan offerings. Analyze and prepare accurate benefit comparisons and assist in making recommendations. Coordinate and works closely with the sales and retention team members to review contracts for each group that is either new or renewing. Develop relationships with agent contacts for any validation of or to request missing information. Responsible for the coordination and tracking of workflow routing to install group changes, including new group and renewing group submissions, group changes and terminations. Includes both detailed technical works, as well as client communication such as delivering reports and models to clients. This role works closely with a variety of individuals including external agents, underwriting, configuration, enrollment, customer service and data analysis and reporting. Understand and demonstrate project management skills such as managing the quality and timeliness of client deliverables, participating in client calls and meetings as appropriate and assisting with the preparation and delivery of clear and concise client friendly communications. Responsible for general overall department support, including but not limited to cross covering for alternate team members, answering and routing incoming calls. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Above average ability working with software and systems both as currently used by the Company and alternative industry standards. Proficient in Excel and all Microsoft applications. Based on area of expertise, demonstrated application of financial and business knowledge Well-developed presentation skills to clients, within department and to project teams. Use initiative to identify and overcome obstacles, manage through ambiguity, remain focused and highly productive. Work cross-functionally and at all levels as both a self-starter and in a team environment. Think and work independently, critically, creatively, analytically and with sound judgment. Simultaneously manage multiple assignments while maintaining composure, good judgment and commitment to deadlines. Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
3+ years of relevant and progressive experience or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience; At least a high school diploma required. Health insurance experience preferred Licensed Life and Health insurance agent in the state of Oklahoma, OR ability to obtain license within 45 days after hire date.
