Description Position at CMI Media Group Payroll & Benefits Specialist - Drive Accuracy & Employee Experience! Are you a meticulous and proactive professional who thrives on ensuring accurate payroll and seamless benefits administration? We're seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll be the subject-matter expert, playing a critical part in delivering an exceptional employee experience through precise payroll operations, robust benefits administration, and unwavering data integrity. What You'll Do:
Own End-to-End Payroll:
Lead the processing of complex payroll deductions, conduct thorough reconciliations, and ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Manage payroll components for employee onboarding and terminations with precision.
Master Benefits Administration:
Independently audit and validate benefit deductions, resolve intricate benefit and deduction issues, and collaborate directly with vendors, HR, and Finance to ensure accurate and timely benefits administration.
Champion Data Integrity & Systems:
Be responsible for payroll and benefits data accuracy within ADP and other HRIS systems. Maintain meticulous employee records, analyze reports for compliance, and troubleshoot system integration issues, recommending process improvements.
Ensure Compliance & Accuracy:
Serve as a key resource for payroll and benefit compliance, supporting audits and implementing corrective actions to maintain the highest standards.
What You'll Bring:
2-4 years of hands-on experience in payroll and/or benefits administration. Strong working knowledge of payroll processes, benefits administration, and compliance requirements. Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP and Workday experience highly preferred). Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills (especially in Excel), and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. An Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field. A process-improvement mindset, coupled with excellent independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Experience supporting or leading Open Enrollment is a plus!
