Job Description

Benefits Administrator Our local client, a well-established Pacific Northwest energy and utility organization, is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to provide hands-on support across employee benefits administration, open enrollment, and benefits reconciliation. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented benefits professional who enjoys supporting employees, working with benefits data, and ensuring benefit records and billing are accurate. In this role, you will support a benefits program serving approximately 700 employees and will play an important role during the upcoming open enrollment period. You will respond to employee and retiree questions, process benefit changes, coordinate with vendors, and provide additional support with invoice and payroll reconciliation.

$55.00 - 60.00/hr., DOE Key Responsibilities of the
Benefits Administrator:
Respond to employee and retiree benefit inquiries by phone and email Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, dependent updates, and other benefits-related needs Support new hire onboarding by providing benefits information and following up on benefit elections Assist with annual open enrollment activities and employee benefit communications Coordinate with insurance carriers, benefit vendors, and third-party administrators as needed Process and maintain accurate employee benefit records within HR systems Audit and reconcile benefit eligibility data, payroll deductions, and vendor invoices Support FSA and HSA administration, including payroll file reconciliations Assist with COBRA administration and related communications Maintain accurate benefits records, reports, and spreadsheets Assist with accommodations administration, including tracking requests and maintaining documentation Provide administrative support for benefits-related projects and activities Ideal Candidate Profile of the
Benefits Administrator:
3+ years of employee benefits administration experience Working knowledge of health and welfare benefit plans and benefits administration processes Experience with benefit eligibility, enrollments, billing, invoice reconciliation, and records management Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with benefits data and perform detailed reconciliations Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to effectively support employee questions Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook Experience working with HRIS systems Experience supporting benefits for a larger employer with 500+ employees is preferred SAP experience is preferred Experience supporting annual open enrollment activities is preferred Experience with benefits invoice reconciliation and payroll deduction reconciliation is preferred Experience within energy, utilities, or another large organizational environment is preferred
