Benefits Consultant / Account Executive Parker Benefits Group About Parker Benefits Group Parker Benefits Group is an independent employee benefits consulting firm serving employers throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. We help businesses navigate employee benefits with a hands-on, responsive, and transparent approach. Our model is built around developing long-term relationships with employers, providing proactive guidance, and delivering a high level of service throughout the year. Position Overview Parker Benefits Group is seeking a Benefits Consultant / Account Executive to help grow and manage our employer benefits practice. This is a relationship-driven role for someone who can develop new employer relationships, bring in new business, and serve as the primary benefits advisor for their clients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable prospecting and building relationships with business owners, executives, and HR leaders while taking ownership of the ongoing client relationship once an employer joins Parker Benefits Group. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Identify and develop relationships with prospective employer groups. Build a pipeline through personal relationships, referrals, networking, centers of influence, and direct outreach. Meet with business owners, executives, HR leaders, and benefits decision-makers. Understand each employer's current benefits program, challenges, costs, and objectives. Identify opportunities to improve benefits strategy, pricing, plan design, and overall service. Present benefit strategies and recommendations to prospective clients. Manage prospects through the sales process and convert new employer groups to Parker Benefits Group. Develop referral relationships with clients and professional partners. Client Consulting & Relationship Management Serve as the primary benefits consultant and relationship owner for assigned employer groups. Develop a strong understanding of each client's business, workforce, benefits strategy, and objectives. Lead annual renewal discussions and help employers evaluate medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other employee benefit options. Work with carriers and partners to obtain proposals, evaluate alternatives, and negotiate competitive solutions. Present clear recommendations and help employers make informed benefits decisions. Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the year. Identify opportunities to improve coverage, control costs, and expand benefit offerings. Client Service & Execution Coordinate with the Parker Benefits Group service team to ensure a smooth transition for new clients. Help oversee implementations, renewals, enrollment changes, and ongoing client needs. Advocate for clients when carrier or service issues arise. Ensure clients receive responsive, high-touch support. Maintain accurate client and prospect information within the agency's CRM and internal systems. Qualifications Experience in employee benefits, insurance brokerage, benefits consulting, or a related B2B relationship-driven role. Strong understanding of employer-sponsored benefits, particularly group medical and ancillary products. Ability to develop relationships with business owners, executives, HR leaders, and other decision-makers. Proven ability to generate new business and manage a sales pipeline. Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills. Comfortable owning both business development and ongoing client relationships. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a book of business. Highly responsive, organized, and client-focused. Appropriate Pennsylvania insurance licensing or ability to obtain required licensing.
