Job Description

Acuity is hiring a Benefits Specialist to help oversee and administer Acuity's employee benefit programs in compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA and applicable Federal and/or State employment laws, and to perform other duties as requested. This is a hybrid position. In this role, you will report to the Manager - Total Rewards (interim reporting to General Manager - HR).
You will:
Support employees with benefit inquiries and escalate issues to leadership or subject matter experts as appropriate. Help plan, organize, administer, and maintain employee benefit programs, including group health, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending, and retirement plans. Administer leave programs in accordance with regulations and Acuity's benefit offerings. Assist with new employee orientation and ongoing education surrounding Acuity benefit programs. Coordinate with vendors and third-party administrators to resolve benefit-related issues. Develop and distribute benefit-related communications to employees, including open enrollment materials, plan summaries and mandated disclosures. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as ERISA and FMLA.
You have:
2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related field. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Knowledge of benefit plan design, implementation, and administration. Familiarity with benefits-related laws and regulations. Proficiency in HR software. Acuity does not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization. This position is classified as exempt.
