Position Title:
Benefits Specialist
Location:
Hybrid - Arlington, VA (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering and supporting employee benefit programs. In this role you will serve as a primary point of contact for employees, ensure accurate benefit administration in ADP Workforce Now, and support compliance with benefitrelated requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer employee benefit programs across the full employee lifecycle Administer all benefits activity in ADP Workforce Now Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and on time Serve as the primary contact for employee questions related to benefits and eligibility Monitor and respond to the Benefits inbox ina timelyand professional manner Support new hire onboarding by explaining benefit options and enrollment steps Assistwith coordination and support of annual open enrollment, including system setup, testing, and employee communications Partner with Payroll to ensure benefit deductions areaccurateand aligned Review benefit vendor invoices for accuracy, escalate, andassistwith resolving discrepancies Work with benefit vendors and brokers to resolve enrollment, eligibility, or claims issues Maintainaccurateanduptodateemployee benefit records Assistwith benefit audits, reporting, and data reconciliation Ensure benefit practices align with company policies and compliance requirements Maintain benefits documentation and employee resources Monitor and review HRIS benefits data feed files for errors or discrepancies Escalate complex, sensitive, or unresolved benefits issues to the HR Operations Manager as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role Experience using ADP Workforce Now, including the Benefits module Experience administering a wide range of employee benefits, including: Medical, dental, and vision plans Health Savings Accounts (HSA) Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Life and disability insurance Retirement plans Otherancillary or voluntary benefits Working knowledge of benefits compliance requirements, including ACA, COBRA, and ERISA Experience supporting open enrollmentendtoend Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Ability toclearly and patiently explain benefit informationto employees Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint Preferred Qualifications HR or benefits certification (CBP, PHR, SHRMCP)
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs.
