Job Summary The Compensation Data Analyst will analyze compensation data, benchmark pay practices against market standards, and develop data-driven recommendations for compensation strategy improvements. This position will play a key role in designing and modeling compensation structures that balance employee attraction and retention with operational profitability. This is a 3 4 month contract assignment working standard business hours, Monday through Friday. 2. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Compensation Analysis & Benchmarking Evaluate current compensation structures, including piece-rate and performance-based pay models. Conduct market research and compensation benchmarking against industry competitors. Identify compensation gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Analyze internal pay equity and competitiveness. Pay Model Transition Support Lead analytical efforts supporting the transition from piece-rate compensation to hourly pay structures. Model multiple compensation scenarios, including hourly rates, incentive programs, and productivity adjustments. Assess financial and operational impacts of proposed compensation changes. Ensure compensation recommendations align with company goals and labor market trends. Data Modeling & Business Insights Build workforce and financial models to evaluate labor costs and compensation strategies. Analyze productivity, profitability, labor cost, and operational performance metrics. Develop forecasts and scenario analyses to support decision-making. Deliver actionable recommendations based on data findings. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Human Resources leadership on compensation planning and compliance initiatives. Collaborate with Operations Excellence teams to align compensation with productivity and performance metrics. Support Recruiting efforts by providing market-based compensation insights that strengthen hiring competitiveness. Participate in compensation strategy discussions and organizational planning. Reporting & Communication Create dashboards, reports, and presentations related to compensation trends and labor costs. Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner. Translate complex compensation and financial data into practical business solutions. Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of compensation analyses. Continuous Improvement Monitor the effectiveness of compensation changes after implementation. Recommend enhancements to improve competitiveness, retention, and profitability. Stay current on compensation trends, labor regulations, and industry best practices. Support ongoing process improvements related to workforce analytics and compensation planning. 3. Qualifications Education High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Compensation Data Analyst or in compensation analysis, workforce analytics, financial modeling, or a related field. Experience conducting compensation benchmarking and market analysis. Experience working with incentive-based, productivity-based, or performance-driven compensation models strongly preferred. Understanding of labor cost structures, profitability metrics, and operational efficiency. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with compensation benchmarking tools and market compensation data. Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities. Experience creating reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
