As a Licensing & Compensation Specialist, you will work with the Licensing & Compensation department to perform agent licensing, contracting, and compensation duties. You'll work with a team and collaborate to help our customers and the families we serve.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manages the end-to-end licensing and contracting process, including reviewing contracts, processing agent appointments, coordinating background checks, and entering data into internal systems. Ensures compliance with state regulations, partners with internal stakeholders to complete contract requirements, and maintains accurate documentation and correspondence. Shares the responsibility for commission adjustments including Reserve Releases, Internal Replacements, Voided Checks and Returned EFTs, and any special bonuses calculated. Answers questions and provides information regarding agent number/market code, contracts, hierarchies, commissions, and compensation to customer service and other internal and external stakeholders. Evaluates changes in agent's status, including name, address, license and hierarchy changes. Execute the proper steps needed to complete the task. Composing communication to agents. Performs quality control for compensation over certain thresholds. Notifies the Operator to release the direct deposit file. Processes and pays invoices from Vertafore and insurance departments, as well as acting as the backup to the Vertafore Compare report reconciliation. Responsible for the Licensing & Compensation procedures. Create new procedures, updates procedures as needed, monitors procedures for any changes.
Requirements:
Equivalent to GED and an Associate's degree or two-year equivalent experience in insurance or licensing field required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office products: Excel, Outlook and Word is required. 1-3+ years insurance/agency experience is desirable. Prior phone experience is desirable.
