Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. A public-sector organization is seeking a Business Office Specialist to support benefits and leave administration on a temporary basis through June. This role is primarily focused on FMLA and benefits coordination, with some light accounting-related responsibilities.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Fully onsite
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer FMLA and employee leave processes
- Support benefits enrollment and ongoing benefits administration
- Assist employees with questions related to benefits and leave programs
- Perform health insurance reconciliations
- Handle COBRA billing and related processes
- Provide light support for accounting functions (AP/AR as needed)
- Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration and/or leave management
- Strong understanding of FMLA and employee benefits processes
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Experience in a public sector or K-12 education environment is a plus
- Familiarity with Tyler Technologies or similar systems is a plus
