Position Summary The Commissions Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing ofinsurance commissions for agents. This role manages commission statements, reconcilescarrier payments, researches discrepancies, and maintains detailed financial records. The idealcandidate is highly organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple deadlines whilemaintaining a high level of accuracy. Key Responsibilities Commission Processing Locate and retrieve commission statements and payout data across various insurance carrier portals. Process and reconcile incoming carrier statements against internal CRM data to verifypayout accuracy. Calculate and distribute accurate agent commission payments, overrides, and split structures according to company policies and compensation agreements. Monitor pending commissions, chargebacks, and adjustments to analyze lapse trends and protect agency revenue. Dispute Resolution & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for agents regarding all commission and payoutinquiries, providing clear, empathetic, and timely resolutions. Research and resolve complex commission-related issues by communicating directly withinsurance carriers, internal staff, and agents. Manage the commission dispute process, tracking down missing payments from carriersand resolving discrepancies for internal and external agents. Reporting, Compliance & Systems Maintain accurate, organized commission records, and documentation. Prepare comprehensive commission and revenue reports for leadership and theaccounting team. Ensure all commission processing strictly complies with company policies and everchanging CMS (Medicare) regulations. Optimize commission tracking software to automate workflows, reduce manual data entryerrors, and identify opportunities for procedure improvements. Cross-Functional Finance & Admin Support Provide administrative and analytical support for broader accounting and operations tasks as needed. Maintain absolute confidentiality of sensitive financial, employee, and client information. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience in insurance commissions, accounting, payroll, financial administration, or a related field preferred. Experience working with Medicare insurance products is a plus. Proficient in Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail, and Calendar). Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiplepriorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments. Must be able to reliably commute to and work on-site at the company's office in Dickson,Tennessee, on a daily basis.
