Job Description

Position Summary The Payroll & Benefits Administrator is responsible for payroll administration, benefits administration, onboarding, leave administration, HR operations, and compliance. This position serves as the subject matter expert for payroll, benefits, HRIS administration, and the administrative lifecycle of the team member experience while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources. Payroll Administration Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and timely. Audit payroll, timecards, PTO balances, deductions, taxes, and garnishments. Process payroll adjustments, retroactive pay, off-cycle payrolls, and final pay. Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports, and year-end processing including W-2s. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws. Benefits Administration Administer all benefit programs. Coordinate enrollments, qualifying life events, COBRA, and open enrollment. Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors. Administer the organization's 401(k) plan and coordinate with retirement plan vendors. Onboarding Administration Own the administrative onboarding process from offer acceptance through Day One. Coordinate all pre-employment paperwork and new hire documentation. Complete I-9 verification and E-Verify requirements. Establish new team members in ADP Workforce Now and other required systems. Coordinate benefits enrollment and payroll setup for new team members. Create and maintain new team member personnel files. Coordinate badge requests, equipment requests, and onboarding checklists. Partner with hiring managers to ensure a seamless onboarding process. Leave Administration Coordinate FMLA, ADA, personal leaves, and workers' compensation administration. Track leave documentation and return-to-work processes. Maintain compliance with applicable leave laws. HR Operations & Compliance Maintain HRIS data and personnel records. Own employment verifications and HR inbox administration. Conduct payroll, benefits, ACA, PTO, leave, and I-9 audits. Prepare HR metrics, dashboards, and compliance reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Three to five years of payroll and benefits administration experience. Working knowledge of payroll, benefits, FMLA, HR compliance, and HRIS administration. Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
