As our Benefits Coordinator , you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and positive employee benefits experience across the organization. The Benefits Coordinator supports the day-to-day administration, communication of Metrie's benefits programs ensuring employees get value from their benefits when it matters most. This role focuses on operational execution, vendor coordination, employee support, and helping communicate benefit plans and updates clearly as our employee population continues to grow. What You'll Do The Benefits Coordinator will assist the People Operations team with various Human Resources activities. Location Preference is for this person to be based out of our Sumner, WA, New Lenox, IL, or Frederick, MD locations with a hybrid schedule of 4 days in office and 1 day remote. Travel may be required on occasion. Responsibilities Administer recurring benefits processes including enrollments, terminations, life events, and eligibility changes across benefit platforms (e.g., ADP, Voya, carrier portals). Support benefits communication and learning initiatives including organizing and coordinating employee webinars, information session and related enablement materials. Manage benefits invoicing processes, including invoice reconciliation, dashboard updates, and coordination with Finance and Accounts Payable. Support COBRA administration with our third-party administrator Cobra Management Services (CMS), including weekly enrollments and monthly general notices, and terminations, and reinstatements. Support retirement administration, including processing terms and new hires, downloading reports, and coordination with Payroll. Assist with Leave of Absence administration by tracking LOAs, producing forms, if needed, supporting communication workflows, keeping the business informed. Monitor the benefits inbox and ensure timely routing, documentation, and follow-up of employee and vendor inquiries. Maintain organized electronic records and supporting documentation for audits, renewals, and reporting. Opportunities to create efficiencies with AI. And other tasks as needed. Who You Are We'd love to hear from you if you have: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 1-2 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or employee communications (preferred) Strong organizational and time‑management skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support employees effectively Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Familiarity with HR systems and communication tools; experience with AI tools is a plus Values matter to you.
