Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Sr. Counsel to join its in-house Legal Department, supporting strategic relationships with key partners. This role will be based in one of Tesla's offices in Austin, Texas, or the Bay Area of California. This position involves providing comprehensive legal guidance to a wide variety of in-house clients on complex commercial relationships and related risks in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This position offers a unique opportunity for a proactive and entrepreneurial lawyer to contribute to a fast-growing, dynamic company by providing strategic legal support and fostering collaboration across global teams. Support and manage a wide range of commercial contracts with strategic partners, including supply agreements, technology licensing agreements, development agreements, services agreements (including cloud-based services), software license agreements, and confidentiality agreements Advise a wide variety of in-house clients who work with our strategic partners on strategic, commercial, and regulatory issues Identify and provide advice and guidance on ways to mitigate any legal or compliance risks associated with Tesla's relationships with strategic partners Juris Doctor with current license to practice in at least one U.S. state or Washington, D.C. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
